These galleries present photographs, prints, scans and contact sheets for viewing, research and image selection.

Image rights and permissions

Viewing a gallery, saving Favorites or receiving a preview file does not grant a license to reproduce, publish, broadcast, distribute or otherwise use an image. Copyright and other rights remain with their respective holders. Unless applicable law permits the use, permission must come from the appropriate rights holder or authorized representative. Any existing written permission or agreement continues to govern the use it authorizes.

Private galleries

Keep password-protected gallery links and passwords within the invited review team. Do not post them publicly. Follow any additional project restrictions provided with your invitation.

Requests and credits

When requesting an image, include its filename, your project details and intended use. Any permission, required credit, delivery format and applicable fees or fee waivers must be confirmed separately in writing. A Favorite selection or available download does not constitute approval for publication or other use.

Archive descriptions

Captions, dates and identifications may be provisional and may be updated as research develops. Please confirm details needed for publication with us.
